Okay, here’s a blog post about resizing an IWC H-link bracelet, written in the style you requested:

Alright, so I got this IWC watch a while back, and the bracelet was just a tad too loose. It wasn’t falling off my wrist or anything, but it just didn’t feel quite right, you know? So, I figured, “Hey, I can fix this myself.” No need to pay some fancy watch guy when I’ve got two hands and a decent set of tools, right? This was an IWC H-link bracelet, so it is a little different from other watches.

First thing I did was look at the bracelet. The IWC H-link bracelet has these little buttons on the side of the links. Seemed pretty straightforward. I grabbed my watch tool kit, the one I got from god knows where, and found the smallest pin pusher thingy.

Then I pushed the button on the link I wanted to remove. While pushing it, I also pushed the pin pusher on the side at the same time. It didn’t budge at first. I wiggled it a bit, pushed a little harder, still nothing. I was starting to think I was doing it wrong. Then, I flipped the bracelet over and tried the other side. And I pushed the button and also pushed the pin pusher. Finally, I felt a little movement.

  • Find the right link
  • Push the button
  • Push the pin on the side
  • Repeat steps 2 and 3 on the other side of the link
  • Remove the link

I kept pushing, and slowly but surely, the pin started to come out. I pulled it out the rest of the way with my fingers, and boom, one link removed! I did the same thing on the other side to keep the clasp centered. Make sure you remove the same number of links from both sides.

Putting it back together was basically the same thing in reverse. I lined up the links, pushed the pins back in, and gave them a little tap with the pin pusher to make sure they were secure. It was a little fiddly, but not too bad.

My thoughts

And that’s it! I tried on the watch, and it fit perfectly. Felt pretty good to have done it myself, honestly. Saved myself some time and money, and I learned something new. If you’ve got an IWC watch with an H-link bracelet and you need to resize it, don’t be afraid to give it a shot yourself. Just be patient, take your time, and you’ll be fine. If you are not confident to do it yourself, you can always find a professional to help.
