My Little Adventure with Saison Jewelry

So, I’d been hearing the name Saison Jewelry floating around, you know? Popping up here and there. I thought, okay, “saison” – like “season” in French. Sounds kinda chic, maybe they do stuff that changes with the seasons, or has that kind of vibe. I’m always looking for something a bit different, not just the same old, same old. So, I decided to make it my little project, my “practice” if you will, to really check them out and see if I could find some pieces that fit this seasonal idea I had in my head.

My first step was just browsing. Lots of browsing. I went to their site, scrolled through everything. My goal was simple: try to understand their whole aesthetic. Was it really seasonal? Or was “Saison” just a fancy name? I was trying to piece together a story from what they were showing.

Then I started to dig a bit deeper. I was looking for specific things:

This was my personal mission, my little “saison” collection I wanted to build, using them as a starting point.

And this is where my practice got interesting. I picked out a few items that I thought fit my “spring” theme. The pictures looked good, exactly what I was imagining. So, I went through the whole process of ordering. Adding to cart, checking out, the usual stuff. I was actually pretty excited to get them and see if they lived up to the photos.

When the package finally arrived, I opened it up. The first piece, okay, it was pretty close. Nice enough. But then I got to the second one. It just… wasn’t quite what I expected. The color in the picture online seemed way more vibrant. This one was a bit dull, to be honest. And the third piece, well, it felt a lot lighter, almost flimsier, than I thought it would for what I paid. It wasn’t bad, bad, but it wasn’t great either. It was just… meh.

So, my big “saison” experiment with Saison Jewelry didn’t quite pan out like I hoped. It felt like they had a good idea with the name, but the actual stuff was a bit all over the place. Some things were okay, others not so much. It wasn’t this perfectly curated seasonal experience I had built up in my mind. It was more like a jumble sale, you find some decent bits if you look hard, but a lot of it is just… stuff.

I guess my “practice” taught me that sometimes the idea is better than the reality. I ended up keeping one piece, returned the other two. My quest for the perfect seasonal jewelry continues, I suppose. Live and learn, right? That was my experience with it, from start to finish. Just wanted to share what I found out.
