Okay, so I’ve been seeing JLo Beauty everywhere, and like everyone else, I got curious. You know, does Jennifer Lopez’s skincare line actually live up to the hype? Does it really give you that JLo glow? I decided to find out for myself. I mean, who doesn’t want skin like hers?

First off, I did a little digging. I saw that JLo Beauty had some hits like the That JLo Glow serum and the That Big Screen SPF 30 moisturizer. Apparently, those are the products that most people think are worth trying. Also, they got this That Blockbuster Wonder Cream that sounds pretty fancy. But then I heard some not-so-great news. It seems like JLo Beauty isn’t doing too hot in stores anymore, at least not in Sephora in the US. They pulled it from the shelves! But, you can still find it on their website and at Macy’s.
I went ahead and got my hands on a few things. Started with the That Hit Single Gel Cream Cleanser. Gotta have a clean slate, right? And I gotta say, it felt pretty good. It has those skin-loving ingredients everyone talks about – you know, peptides, antioxidants and such. I used it for a good while to see if it makes a big difference, and it cleaned my face without making it feel all dry and tight. Okay, not bad, JLo, not bad.
- That JLo Glow serum: This is the one everyone raves about, so I had high hopes. I used it every day, morning and night. And honestly? It did make my skin feel more hydrated and maybe, just maybe, a little bit glowier.
- That Big Screen SPF 30 moisturizer: Sunscreen is a must, so I was all over this. It felt nice on the skin, not greasy at all, which is a huge plus.
- That Blockbuster Wonder Cream: Now, this one’s a bit pricey, so I was expecting miracles. I used it as my night cream. My skin did feel softer, but I can’t say it transformed my face overnight. I don’t know about this one.
I kept at it for a few weeks, using the products consistently. I noticed that my skin was definitely more hydrated, and it did seem a bit brighter overall. But did I get that signature JLo glow? I’m not sure. Maybe I need to use it for longer or maybe I need JLo’s genes, who knows? However, I find that the cleanser is pretty good. It does its job, and it doesn’t irritate my skin, so that’s a win.
Overall, I feel like JLo Beauty is a bit of a mixed bag. Some products are pretty solid, like the cleanser and the serum. The SPF moisturizer is decent, too. But the wonder cream? I’m not totally sold. And considering it’s not in Sephora stores anymore, it makes you wonder. I heard the CEO of JLo Beauty even left the company to run another skincare brand! That’s kinda telling, right?
So, is JLo Beauty good? It’s not bad, but it’s not magical either. I’d say give the serum and the cleanser a try if you’re curious. Just don’t expect to turn into Jennifer Lopez overnight. And maybe wait for a sale, ’cause it ain’t cheap.
