Is COS a Quite Luxury Choice? Find Out Where COS Fits in the Fashion World

Today, I went to the mall with my girlfriend and bumped into COS. We just walked around casually since we had nothing to do. So we went in and had a look.

We browsed around, and I tried some on. Most of them were pretty basic, just plain-colored T-shirts and pants. But when I looked at the price tags, I was like, “Holy crap, this is expensive!” A simple T-shirt was over $50, and a pair of pants was easily over $100. I mean, they looked okay, but not $100 okay.

Then I started checking the materials. Some were just regular cotton, while others had some fancier stuff like merino wool or cashmere blends. Still, I wasn’t really impressed. I know those materials are supposed to be better, but I couldn’t really tell the difference just by feeling them. Maybe if I wore them for a while, I’d notice something.

  • Fabric: Mostly cotton, some wool blends.
  • Price: Way too high for what it is.
  • Style: Minimalist, basic stuff.

I also looked at the workmanship. The stitching seemed alright, nothing special. I didn’t see any loose threads or anything like that. But for the price they were asking, I expected something a bit more, you know? It just felt like regular clothes with a fancy label slapped on.

After trying on a few things, we went to the cashier. My girlfriend picked out a dress, it’s also over $100 and it’s not even on sale. I didn’t buy anything. I couldn’t justify spending that much money on something so… plain. I mean, I can find similar stuff at H&M or Uniqlo for a fraction of the price.

So, in the end, we left the store. My girlfriend was happy with her dress, but I was still thinking about the prices. Is COS really worth it? I’m not so sure. Maybe it’s just not my style, or maybe I just don’t get it. But for me, it’s definitely not worth the price.

My Final Thoughts

COS is like one of those fancy restaurants where you pay a lot for tiny portions of food. It might look good, and it might even taste good, but at the end of the day, you’re still hungry. Maybe some people like that, but I’d rather have a big, juicy burger for half the price.

I mean you could get some nice clothes from other brands for the same amount of money, or even less. It’s like they’re charging extra just for the name. I guess some people are willing to pay for that, but not me. I’ll stick to my usual stores, thank you very much.

This is just my personal experience, of course. Maybe some of you guys love COS and think it’s worth every penny. And that’s cool, to each their own. But for me, I’d rather spend my money on something else. Like, maybe a nice vacation, or a new gadget. Something that’s actually worth the price, you know?

What do you guys think? Have you ever shopped at COS? Did you find it to be worth the hype? Let me know in the comments!
