So I was shopping around for a decent coat last month, right? Saw this Arthur Levine Tahari thing on sale and went “Hmm, might be worth a shot”. Always liked Tahari dresses but never tried their coats before. Here’s the whole deal.

Finding It & Buying
First off, ordered online cause the store didn’t have my size. Shipping took like 10 days – not great but whatever. Package arrived all crumpled up, looked like somebody played soccer with it. Pulled the coat out thinking “please don’t be messed up”.
Initial Thoughts
Felt heavier than I expected. Material seemed good though – thick wool blend. Checked the stitching everywhere: shoulders okay, cates good, pockets weirdly loose threads. Snapped some pics right away cause reviews always need proof, y’know?
Wearing Test
Wore it for three weeks straight to give fair review. Coldest day: Kept me warm enough at -5°C but needed layers. Rain test: Light drizzle rolled right off, heavy rain soaked through sleeves after 10 minutes. Comfort stuff: Button closure kept popping open when I sat down – annoying as hell!
What I Liked
- Style points: Got three compliments first day wearing it
- Pockets galore: Deep enough for phone + gloves + tissues somehow
- Color stayed: Didn’t fade after multiple washes (cold water only!)
What Sucked
- Buttons suck: Like they sewed them with dental floss
- Weird fit: Arms too long but shoulders tight? Can’t win
- Sweat stains: Armpits showed sweat marks crazy fast
Honest Tips If You Buy
1) Size up – trust me it runs small
2) Get it tailored unless you like gorilla arms

3) Seal those buttons yourself before wearing
4) Skip if you sweat easy – shows terribly
5) Only buy during sales – full price ain’t worth it
Final verdict? Decent mid-tier coat. Not amazing but doesn’t totally suck. Would I buy again? Maybe if price dropped below $80. But honestly? You can probably find better options unless you really dig the style. Took these pics of my busted buttons before returning – proof’s in the pudding!
