Okay, so today I want to talk about “nad jazy.” Sounds simple, right? But it took me a while to get it right.
First, I started by listening to a ton of jazz music. I mean, I really dove in. Different artists, different styles, the whole shebang. I just wanted to get the feel of it, you know?
Then, I tried to learn some theory. Chord progressions, scales, all that stuff. It was a bit overwhelming at first, but I stuck with it. I used some online resources to help me out, and I just kept practicing.
- I memorized a bunch of scales and chords.
- I practiced them over and over again.
- I even tried to transcribe some of my favorite solos. That was tough!
After that, I started to play around with different licks and techniques. I would just jam for hours, trying to imitate what I heard in the music. Slowly but surely, I started to get a hang of it. My fingers started moving more smoothly and making sense.
I also learned that practicing everything in every key is super important. It’s a pain, but it really helps you internalize the music.
It took me a long time to figure this out, but now, it just flows and I can even do some simple improvisation and write simple tunes. It was a long journey, but I did it and I’m so proud of it.
