How to get the outfits 90s Pam Anderson Baywatch running look? Easy style tips inside!

Alright, so I got this idea stuck in my head the other day. You know how sometimes a random thought just takes over? Well, mine was the whole 90’s Pam Anderson Baywatch running scene. Iconic, right? And I thought, hey, why not try and recreate that vibe? Just for kicks, a little project for myself.

Finding the Gear

First things first, the red swimsuit. Man, oh man. You’d think finding a simple red, high-cut swimsuit would be a piece of cake. Nope. It was a proper hunt. I spent a good while scrolling online, looking at so many options. Some were too modern, you know, wrong kind of cut. Others just didn’t have that specific Baywatch feel. It took a bit, but I finally landed on one that felt pretty close to what I remembered. It wasn’t an exact movie prop, obviously, but it had the right color and that high-leg style that just screams 90s.

Then, the other big piece: that red lifeguard float thingy. What do they even call those? A rescue can? Anyway, that was another adventure. Couldn’t just pop down to the local shop and grab one. I looked around, and proper ones are serious equipment. I wasn’t about to buy a professional lifeguard buoy. I eventually found a sort of replica, more like a prop. Looked the part, even if it was probably just a bit of plastic. Good enough for what I was trying to do!

Putting It All Together (and the Run!)

So, I had the main bits. The suit, the float. Now, the tricky part – actually trying to channel that energy. The famous slow-motion run. I felt a bit daft, not gonna lie, even just thinking about it.

I didn’t have a beach handy for my first attempts, so the backyard had to do. Picture this: me, red swimsuit, plastic float, trying to do a dramatic run across the grass. My neighbors probably thought I’d finally lost it. It’s way harder than it looks to run holding that thing and try to look, well, Baywatch-y.

I also tried to get the hair right. You know, that big, kinda wild beach hair. My version involved a lot of hope and maybe a bit too much hairspray. Let’s just say I’m no hairstylist.

Actually trying to film a bit of the “run” was hilarious. My slow-motion attempts probably looked more like I was struggling through quicksand. Pam made it look so effortless, didn’t she? There’s a real art to that, apparently. An art I have not mastered.

So, How’d It Go?

Well, it was fun! That was the main thing. It was a silly, nostalgic project. Did I look exactly like Pam Anderson? Absolutely not, not even close. But did I capture a tiny slice of that 90s Baywatch vibe for myself? I think so. It’s funny how an outfit can transport you back, even if it’s just in your own backyard.

It definitely made me appreciate how iconic that whole look and scene really is. It’s not just a swimsuit; it’s a whole mood. And trying to recreate it, even imperfectly, was a good laugh. Sometimes you just gotta do these random little projects, you know? Just to see if you can.
