Okay, here’s my blog post about how I got the green out of my blonde hair, written in the style of a mature, practical blogger:

How to Get Green Out of Blonde Hair Fast: Quick and Easy Tips

So, picture this: you’ve been rocking that gorgeous, summery blonde, maybe you went a little too hard with the swimming pool, and now… ugh. That dreaded greenish tinge. It happened to me, and let me tell you, it wasn’t cute. But don’t panic! I’ve been there, done that, and I’m here to share how I fixed it – without rushing to the salon.

The Green Monster Attack

It all started innocently enough. I love swimming, had a lot of those chlorine swimming pool days. The weather was getting hotter so… what happened. Slowly but surely, my bright blonde started taking on this swampy hue. At first, I tried to ignore it, hoping it was just the lighting. Nope. It was definitely green, and it was definitely getting worse.

Operation: De-Greenify

First, i start to figure out why it happened. It seemed that pool water contains copper, after I swam for a long time, my blonde hair turned to green!

Okay, the first thing I did was clarifying shampoo. I grabbed the one I already had (any clarifying shampoo should do the trick) and really worked it into my hair. I’m talking a good, long scrub, focusing on the greenest parts.

And Let it sit for a few minutes – maybe five? – then I did rinse it all. Honestly, it helped a little, but the green was still pretty noticeable, so I moved the next step.

The Tomato Juice Solution

I’m not gonna lie, it felt weird. But I’d heard from a friend about that tomato juice, ketchup, all that stuff is gonna fix the green. So I gave it a shot.

Here’s what i use:

  • Ketchup.I squeezed a generous amount, and i used it on my wet hair.
  • Massage it in.I use the ketchup just like the shampoo.
  • Wait (and hope). I wrapped my hair in a plastic bag and the bag wrapped with hot tower.
  • Rinse and check. After I wash my hair, check my hair again and again to make sure it’s getting better.

I let that sit for a good 20-30 minutes. Yes, I smelled like a walking salad, but hey, if it works, it works. Then, a thorough rinse and… surprisingly, it was WAY better! The green was almost completely gone.

The Aftercare

After all that, my hair felt a little dry, so I knew a deep conditioning treatment was in order. I used my favorite hair mask, the one, leave it on for a good while, and rinsed. My hair felt so much softer and healthier, and most importantly, it was blonde again!

Final Thoughts

Getting the green out of blonde hair can be a pain, but it’s definitely doable at home. Don’t freak out, try the simple steps, and be patient. And maybe, just maybe, lay off the pool for a little while (or wear a swimming cap!). I hope to help you with this sharing!
