So, I wanted to find the date code on my LV Neverfull the other day. Wasn’t trying to prove anything, just honestly curious about when and where it was made. You know how these things get talked about.

First off, I started looking in the most obvious spots. I emptied the whole bag out, checked the main compartment thoroughly, ran my fingers along all the seams inside. Nothing. Then I went for the pockets.
- Checked the big main area – zip, zero, nada.
- Looked inside the removable pouch (mine came with one) – nope, not there either.
- Felt around the base and corners inside the main bag. Still couldn’t find that little tag.
I started thinking maybe mine didn’t have one, or I was just completely blind. I remembered reading somewhere online that they can be tucked away quite well. So, I decided to focus on the interior zipped pocket, the one attached to the lining inside the main bag.
Okay, Here’s Where the Hunt Got Real
I opened that inner zipped pocket. Then, I carefully lifted the edge of the pocket lining, right where it’s stitched to the main bag’s interior. You kinda have to peel it back gently near the seam, on one of the sides.
And boom! There it was. Tucked away, almost hidden flat against the lining, was this little leather tab. It wasn’t screaming for attention, that’s for sure. The code was stamped right onto that small tab.
It was honestly a bit of a pain to find, felt like a mini treasure hunt. You really gotta look in that specific spot, right under the seam edge of that inside zip pocket. If you just glance in the pocket, you’ll totally miss it.

So yeah, that was my little adventure trying to locate the date code. Required a bit more digging than I first thought, but got there in the end.
