Alright, so I’ve got these KD Aunt Pearl sneakers, and man, they were starting to look rough. I mean, I wear them all the time, so naturally, they get dirty. But I didn’t want to ruin them, so I did some digging around on how to clean them properly.

How to clean KD Aunt Pearls? Keep your sneakers fresh with these easy tips.

First, I gathered all my cleaning supplies. I’m no expert, but I figured I needed a few things. I grabbed some baking soda, white vinegar, an old toothbrush, a couple of cloths, and a bowl of warm water. I also found some dish soap, just in case.

Then, I mixed up my cleaning solution. I followed this recipe I found online: 1 tablespoon of baking soda, 2 tablespoons of vinegar, and a cup of water. It fizzed up a bit, which was kind of cool. I also made another solution with just warm water and a bit of dish soap.

  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons of white vinegar
  • 1 cup of water
  • Dish soap (optional)

Next, I started scrubbing. I dipped the toothbrush into the baking soda mixture and gently scrubbed the dirty areas of the shoes. I was careful not to scrub too hard, especially on the fabric parts. For some tougher spots, I used the soapy water mixture.

After scrubbing, I wiped the shoes down with a damp cloth to remove any leftover cleaning solution. Then I patted them dry with a clean, dry cloth. I made sure to get all the excess moisture out.

Finally, for the soles, I used a magic eraser. I just wet it a little and rubbed it on the soles, and they cleaned up pretty nicely.

Results

Honestly, the shoes looked so much better afterward. They weren’t brand new or anything, but they were definitely cleaner. I was pretty happy with how they turned out. It’s a bit of work, but it’s worth it to keep these kicks looking fresh. I’ll probably do this again in a few weeks to keep them in good shape. I am so satisfied with the result and I decided to share this with you guys.

So, yeah, that’s how I cleaned my KD Aunt Pearls. It wasn’t too hard, and it definitely made a difference. If you’ve got some dirty sneakers, give it a try!
