How to Clean a Fabric Coach Bag: Easy Steps (Remove All Stains)

Okay, so my favorite fabric Coach bag was looking pretty sad. You know, that dingy look that screams, “I’ve been loved… a little too much.” I was determined to bring it back to life, so here’s how I tackled it.

Gathering My Supplies

First things first, I needed to get my cleaning arsenal together. I didn’t want anything too harsh that might ruin the fabric or the color. Here’s what I ended up using:

Getting Down to Business

I started by emptying everything out of the bag. I even found a long-lost lipstick in one of the pockets! Then I took that soft brush and gently brushed off any loose dirt or dust from the outside of the bag.

Next, I mixed a small amount of the baby shampoo with the warm water in a bowl. I dipped one of the microfiber cloths into the soapy water, wringing it out well so it was just damp, not soaking wet. Starting at the top of the bag, I gently wiped down the fabric, working my way down in small sections. For any stubborn spots, I used the toothbrush, very lightly scrubbing in a circular motion.

After I’d gone over the whole bag, I rinsed the cloth thoroughly with clean water and wiped away any soapy residue. Then, I used the second, dry microfiber cloth to pat the bag dry as much as possible.

The Waiting Game (and Finishing Touches)

I stuffed the bag with some clean tissue paper to help it keep its shape and set it in a well-ventilated area to air dry. I was patient. Then i check the bag regularly, make sure everyting is good.

Once it was completely dry, I was amazed! The bag looked so much brighter and cleaner. It wasn’t brand-new, of course, but it definitely looked refreshed and ready for more adventures. Success!
