Alright, so I finally got my hands on YSL Y Eau de Parfum. I’ve been seeing a lot of hype about this one, so I decided to see what the fuss is all about.

First Impressions
When I first sprayed it on, I got a strong blast of something fresh and kinda sweet. I think it’s the bergamot and ginger they talk about. It’s definitely a strong opening, but not in a bad way. It’s more like, “Whoa, okay, I’m awake now!”
Drying Down
- After a few minutes, it started to settle down.
- The sweetness calmed down a bit, and I started to smell some of the other notes.
- The apple is there, but it’s not like a super juicy, in-your-face apple. It’s more subtle.
- I could definitely pick up the sage and some kind of woody smell, which I guess is the vetiver and cedar.
How Long It Lasts
This stuff is strong. I put it on in the morning, and I could still smell it on myself in the evening. I even got a few compliments throughout the day, which is always nice. It definitely projects well, so people around you will notice it. I even sprayed some on a t-shirt to see how long it would last, and I could still smell it faintly the next day.
Overall Thoughts
Overall, I’m pretty impressed with YSL Y EDP. It’s a fresh, versatile fragrance that’s perfect for everyday wear. It’s not too overpowering, but it’s definitely noticeable. If you’re looking for a new scent that’s going to turn heads, I’d say give this one a try. You might just fall in love with it like I did. I will try to wear it for a few more days to see if I notice other smells.
