Okay, so I’ve been dreaming about getting a Hermes Roulis 18 for ages. I finally took the plunge and decided to try my luck in Paris. Here’s how the whole thing went down.

The Hunt Begins
First things first, I did some research online. I checked out forums and blogs, trying to figure out the best way to snag one. Everyone said appointments were key, but getting one? That’s a whole other story.
I knew there were three main Hermes stores in Paris: the flagship on Faubourg Saint-Honoré (FSH), one on Rue de Sèvres, and another on Avenue George V. My plan? Hit them all, multiple times if needed!
My Paris Adventure
- Day 1: I went straight to the FSH store. No appointment, just pure optimism. I walked in, tried to look confident, and asked about the Roulis. The sales associate (SA) was polite but firm: “No appointment, no bag.” She did, however, suggest trying to get an online appointment for the next day.
- Day 2: I woke up early, phone in hand, ready to battle the Hermes website. I refreshed that page like a madwoman. No luck. I tried again throughout the day, still nothing. I even visited the Sèvres and George V stores, just in case. Same story – appointments only. Feeling a little defeated, but not giving up!
- Day 3: I repeated the online appointment struggle. Refreshed, refreshed, refreshed. Still nothing. I decided to physically go back to the FSH store. Walked in. and this time i found an very nice SA. I explained my persistence and my love for the Roulis.
- The Magic Moment:After I talked with SA, she just went to the back and brought out a box. Inside? A beautiful Roulis 18 in Evercolor leather!
The Price Tag
So, the big question: how much did it cost? I paid around €7,000, give or take, due to different tax. It’s definitely an investment, but for a bag I’ve been wanting for so long, I felt it was worth it, especially considering the experience of buying it in Paris.
My Final Thoughts
Getting a Hermes bag in Paris isn’t easy. It takes persistence, a bit of luck, and maybe a sprinkle of Parisian charm. But if you’re really determined, it’s totally possible! Just be prepared to work for it, and don’t be afraid to try different strategies. And remember, even if you don’t get the bag, you’re still in Paris! There are worse places to be, right?
