Okay, so I’ve been seeing “hello kitty aesthetic” stuff everywhere lately, and I kinda wanted to jump on the bandwagon. I mean, who doesn’t love Hello Kitty, right?

First, I gathered some inspiration. I just went on a picture hunt, looking for anything Hello Kitty-themed that caught my eye. Think pink, cute, and lots of bows!
My DIY Project
I decided to start small, with something I could actually use. I found this plain, boring white mug in my cupboard, and it was just begging for a makeover.
- I cleaned the mug really well, making sure there was no dust or anything on it.
- Then, I grabbed some pink and red permanent markers. (I tested them on a piece of paper first, just to make sure the colors were what I wanted).
- I drew a simple Hello Kitty face on the mug. I’m not the best artist, so I kept it super basic – just the eyes, nose, and whiskers.
- Next, I added a little pink bow above one of her ears. Because, duh, it’s Hello Kitty!
- I colored in all.
- I let it dry completely.
It’s not perfect, but it’s mine, and it definitely fits the “hello kitty aesthetic” vibe. It’s way cuter than the plain white mug I started with! Next time, maybe I’ll try something a little more ambitious, like decorating my phone case…
