Okay, so, I’ve been seeing these Gucci jelly shoes everywhere lately, and I finally caved and decided to get a pair. I mean, they’re kinda cute and retro, right? And I thought they’d be perfect for summer.

First, I spent a lot of time to find a pair. I searched every online shop what I known. Finally I got one pair on one shop! They arrived pretty fast, which was great. I tore open the box, and there they were, in all their rubbery glory. I was a little shocked that the colors were kinda muted. They looked so bright online! And they had this shiny look, which I wasn’t expecting. The pictures I saw online showed them as more of a matte finish.
I slipped them on, and they fit, but they were kinda tight. That makes me sad. I don’t know whether I should get a bigger one. My friend told me that I can put them into the refrigerator. I am not sure whether it is useful. But, trying it won’t kill me. I got two plastic bags, filled them with water, and stuffed them into the shoes. Then, into the freezer they went. I checked on them a few hours later, and the water was solid ice.
- Step 1: Find some water and two large plastic bags.
- Step 2: Put water into bags and then put bags into shoes.
- Step 3: Put them into the freezer overnight.
I left them overnight because I was tired and, honestly, I kinda forgot about them. The next morning, I pulled them out. It was a bit of a struggle to get the ice bags out, but I managed. I tried the shoes on again, and guess what? They were a bit roomier! Not a huge difference, maybe like a quarter to half an inch, but enough to make them more comfortable.
My Real Feeling
So, yeah, I’m now the proud owner of some slightly stretched-out Gucci jelly shoes. They’re not the most practical shoes, but they’re fun, and they definitely make a statement. I wore them to the beach the other day, and they were great for walking on the sand. But,I have to say, they’re pretty expensive for what they are – basically, fancy rubber sandals. And the price… well, let’s just say it depends on where you buy them and which style you get.
If you’re thinking about getting a pair, I’d say go for it, but maybe try to find them on sale or on one of those secondhand sites. And if they’re a little tight, you know what to do! Just don’t leave them in the freezer too long, or you might end up with ice blocks instead of shoes.

Note:I found a pair of shoes on a Japanese website that were super nice and reasonably priced, but they were sold out! 😭
