Hey, you! What you know about them Grinch Grass Dunks? They some kinda new shoes, I reckon. My grandson, he’s always on about them kinda things. He say these ones, they real special. Green like that Grinch fella, all fuzzy and furry. Says they be called Nike, ain’t never heard of that before. But Nike, they make all kinda shoes it seems.
These shoes, these Grinch Grass Dunks, they say they some kinda basketball shoes. What you know about that? Kids these days, they play basketball in all kinda fancy shoes. Back in my day, we played in whatever we had, even barefoot sometimes! These Nike Dunks, they some kinda special basketball shoes, I guess. They come out in 1985, that’s what they say. Long time ago.

But then, they say the skateboard kids, they like them too. Skateboard kids! They always tearin’ up their shoes. Now they got these Nike shoes made just for them, or so I hear. These Grinch shoes, they got low ones, middle ones, and high ones. Like socks, I guess. Low, middle, high, they all covered. Every kind of shoes for walking and running, I guess. I don’t know about that, they all new things now.
They say these green ones, these Grinch Grass Dunks, they special. They come out in December. My grandson, he’s got a birthday in December. Maybe I’ll get him some. But they look kinda funny, all green and fuzzy. Like that Grinch fella, you know the one. He’s green and mean, but these shoes, they just green. And furry. They say these shoes, they called “Cactus Plant Flea Market.” What kinda name is that? Sounds like somethin’ you’d find down at the market, all right.
They got all kinds of colors on these Nike shoes, but this new one is green. Varsity Green, I think they call it. They had these shoes a long time ago, these Dunk shoes, on the college basketball courts. Now they all over the place, these shoes. Even in art, they say. Imagine that. Shoes in art. What will they think of next?
There’s another one, this Nike SB eBay Dunk, that came out in 2022, I heard. Something about cuttin’ up some old shoes and makin’ new ones. Kids are crazy these days. They got all kinds of shoes. They launched them in December, too. All these shoes come out in December. Must be a popular time for shoes, I guess. These shoes, they some kinda special shoes, they got different part and colors. I don’t know about that, what they thinking.
Now, in 2024, it seems these Nike shoes are all the rage. My grandson, he showed me some pictures. They all different colors, different styles. But these Grinch Grass Dunks, they somethin’ else. I don’t know what to think. All the kids like them. They must have some kinda magic in them, I guess. I don’t know, they just shoes for me. But the young people, they love them.
These shoes, they make a “statement,” whatever that means. I guess it means they loud, they get noticed. Like that green color. You can’t miss that, can you? These shoes, they for show, I think. Not for workin’ in the garden, that’s for sure. Too fancy for that. They say these shoes, you can find them at some special stores, and on some kinda app. What’s an app? Is that like a map? I don’t know.
All I know is, these Grinch Grass Dunks, they somethin’ else. All these new things, I don’t know. But they some kinda big deal, I reckon. Maybe I’ll get my grandson a pair. He’d probably like that. He can tell all his friends about his grandma’s cool shoes, that Grinch shoes. I think I will get him one, green one, like grass. But what is grass doing on shoes? I don’t know. Young people will like it I guess.
I still don’t know what a “Flea Market” has to do with shoes, though. Or cactus plants, for that matter. Maybe it’s just a name. Like Johnson’s General Store. Just a name. But it sure is a funny one. These young people with their new names for everything. It is hard to keep up with them. But I will try. For my grandson, I will buy that Grinch Grass Dunks for him.
