Get the Missy Elliott Blow Up Suit Look: Find Similar Styles Here!

Okay, so I saw this Missy Elliott “Blow Up Suit” thing and I just had to try it. You know, the one where she’s all puffed up like a giant balloon? Yeah, that one. I thought, “How hard could it be?” Famous last words, right?

Finding the Materials

First, I needed a suit. I figured a cheap, oversized tracksuit would do the trick. I hit up a local thrift store and scored a bright blue one that was, like, three sizes too big. Perfect!

Then came the tricky part – the inflation. I considered a few options:

I ended up going with the hairdryer. Seemed like the safest bet.

The Inflation Process

Let me tell you, this was NOT graceful. I taped the hairdryer nozzle to the inside of the tracksuit leg. I could already feel that it was not very comfortable.

I turned on the hairdryer, and let’s just say things escalated quickly. The suit started to inflate, but not in a cool, Missy Elliott way. It was more like…a lumpy, uneven mess. It started filling up fast!

One leg puffed up way faster than the other. I looked like a weird, half-inflated sausage. I was scrambling to keep the air from escaping, but it was a losing battle.

The “Finished” Product

After about 10 minutes of struggling, sweating, and looking utterly ridiculous, I decided to call it quits.I turned off the hairdryer.

The suit was…inflated-ish. It was definitely bigger than before, but it was nowhere near as smooth and round as Missy’s. It was more like I’d stuffed a bunch of pillows down my pants. I tried posing, but yeah, I don’t think i could do it.

Final Thoughts

So, did I achieve the Missy Elliott “Blow Up Suit” look? Absolutely not. Did I have a hilarious time trying? You bet. Would I recommend this to others? Maybe, if you’re looking for a good laugh and don’t mind looking like a deflated balloon animal. I am going to throw this suit away.
