Okay, so I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz about Chinese beauty brands lately, especially on like, my usual beauty forums and stuff. A bunch of people were talking about how these brands are getting super popular, not just in China, but everywhere. I got curious, you know? So, I decided to dive in and see what the hype was all about.
First, I gotta admit, I was a little hesitant at first. I’d heard some things about, like, questionable quality control with some Chinese products in the past. And some people on forums even said they found nasty stuff in products. But then, I saw a bunch of people raving about the quality and how they’re way cheaper and sometimes even better than Korean brands! So, I figured, why not give it a shot? I started by making a list of the brands that kept popping up in conversations. You know, the ones everyone seemed to be using in China.
Here’s what I came up with:
- Judydoll – Seemed like a good starting point, heard good things about their eyeshadows.
- Timage – This one was mentioned a lot for their lip products.
- Into You – Another one that kept coming up for lip stuff.
- Girlcult – The packaging looked super cool, so I was intrigued.
- Carslan – Apparently, their foundations are pretty good.
- Flortte – Cute packaging again, and they seemed to have a lot of variety.
- Flower Knows – Okay, this one just looked gorgeous, had to try it.
- Florasis – This brand seemed a bit more high-end, but still affordable.
- Perfect Diary – Heard this was like the “drugstore” brand of China.
- Zeesea – Their mascaras got a lot of love online.
- Colorkey – More lip products! Seemed like a trend here.
- Joocyee – Their blush looked interesting.
- Jill Leen – I think this one was known for their colorful palettes.
- Red Chamber – This one sounded fancy and had good reviews.
- Pink Bear – Adorable name, had to check it out.
- Gogo Tales – I saw a lot of people using their highlighters.
- Everbab – This one had affordable, basic makeup tools.
I spent a few days browsing, comparing prices, reading reviews, and watching some videos. Finally, I decided to place a few orders, it was difficult to choose. I didn’t go too crazy, I didn’t want to end up with a bunch of stuff I wouldn’t use, you know? I picked a couple of products from different brands, like a lipstick, an eyeshadow palette, a blush, and some brushes.
The Waiting Game
The shipping took a little while, which is to be expected since it was coming from overseas. But when the packages finally arrived, I was like a kid on Christmas morning! I ripped them open and started swatching and testing everything out. I made sure to take some photos and videos of my makeup looks.
My Verdict
Honestly? I was pretty impressed. The quality of most of the products was really good, especially considering the price. Like, some of these lipsticks were better than the expensive ones I have from other brands! The eyeshadows were pigmented, the blush was blendable, and the brushes were surprisingly soft. Of course, not everything was perfect. I did run into a couple of duds, but overall, I was pleasantly surprised. I have continued experimenting with these products, trying out different combinations and looks. So far, I’m really enjoying the process, and I think I’ve found some new favorites!
I’m definitely going to keep exploring the world of Chinese beauty brands. There’s so much out there, and it’s exciting to discover new things. Plus, my wallet is thanking me! I just think this is awesome, and thought you guys should know, too.
