So, I’ve been needing a new suit for a while now, and I finally decided to pull the trigger and get one custom-made. After doing some research online, I came across this place called Alton Lane in Richmond. They had some pretty good reviews, so I figured, why not give them a shot?

I went ahead and scheduled an appointment on their website for a fitting. They’re located at 304 Libbie Avenue, which was a pretty convenient location for me.

When I got there, I was immediately impressed by the showroom. It was really nicely decorated and had a cool, modern vibe. I was greeted by one of the stylists, a friendly guy who seemed to know his stuff.

We started by talking about what I was looking for in a suit. I told him I wanted something that was versatile enough for both work and social events, and he showed me some different fabrics and styles that he thought would work well for me. I was overwhelmed but he guided me through every option.

After we picked out the fabric and style, it was time to get measured. This part was pretty quick and painless. The stylist took all my measurements, and we discussed the fit I was going for. He made some helpful suggestions, and I felt like he really understood what I wanted.

The whole process took about an hour, maybe a little longer. I placed my order and was told it would take 2 to 4 weeks for the suit to be ready. I didn’t mind waiting since it was a custom suit.

I paid for my order and left the showroom feeling pretty good about the whole experience.

A few weeks later, I got a call from Alton Lane that my suit was ready. I went back to the showroom to try it on, and man, I was blown away. The fit was absolutely perfect. It was like the suit was made for me because it was. The fabric felt great, and the craftsmanship was top-notch.

Here’s what I loved about Alton Lane:

  • The personalized service was amazing. I felt like the stylist really listened to me and helped me find exactly what I was looking for.
  • The quality of the suit is outstanding. It’s clear that they use high-quality materials and that the tailors know what they’re doing.
  • The showroom is a really nice space. It’s comfortable and inviting, and it makes the whole experience feel more upscale.

Overall, I had a great experience at Alton Lane. If you’re in the Richmond area and looking for a custom suit, I highly recommend checking them out. It’s definitely worth the investment.
