Okay, so I’ve been obsessed with finding the perfect yellow purse. Not just any yellow, you know? It had to be the right yellow – like, sunshine-y but not too in-your-face. I spent, I don’t know, maybe two weeks just browsing online, looking at pictures, and reading reviews.

My Online Hunt
I started by just, you know, typing “yellow purses” into the search bar. Man, that was overwhelming! So many different shades, styles, sizes… I felt like I was drowning in a sea of yellow.
Then I got a little smarter. I started adding more words. I was using terms like “mustard yellow handbag,” “small yellow crossbody,” and “lemon yellow tote.” That helped narrow things down a bit. I made a list of all the ones I kinda liked. The hard part, I think, was that they just weren’t that great.
- Too bright: Some were, like, neon yellow. Nope.
- Too dull: Others were this sad, washed-out yellow. Also nope.
- Wrong size: Either tiny little things or giant bags that could fit a small dog.
Hitting the Stores
I finally decide I am tired with online, and I actually needed to see these things in person. So, I hit up a bunch of stores. I must have gone to, like, five different places. It felt like a real-life treasure hunt, except instead of treasure, it was a yellow purse.
I dragged my friend Sarah along, too. She’s got a good eye for this stuff, and I needed a second opinion. Plus, shopping is always more fun with a friend, right?
The first few stores were a bust. Same problems as online – wrong color, wrong size, wrong everything. I was starting to get discouraged. I was about ready to give up and just stick with my old, boring black bag.

Success!
But then, we went into this one little boutique, and there it was. The perfect yellow purse. It was a beautiful, buttery yellow, not too bright, not too dull. Just…perfect. It was a crossbody style, with enough room for my phone, wallet, keys, and a few other essentials. And it was on sale!
It was like the universe was telling me, “This is your purse, girl!”
I practically snatched it off the shelf. Sarah agreed – it was the one. I paid for it, feeling ridiculously happy over a purse. But hey, it’s the little things, right?
I’ve been using it ever since, and I get compliments on it all the time. It just adds a little pop of color to my outfits, and it makes me happy every time I look at it. Mission accomplished!
