Finally! How to Do a Bun for Thick Hair Without it Falling Apart.

Okay, so I’ve got super thick hair, and for the longest time, buns were my nemesis. They’d either be too loose and fall out, or so tight they’d give me a headache. But I’ve finally cracked the code, and I’m gonna share my secrets with you all!

Finally! How to Do a Bun for Thick Hair Without it Falling Apart.

Getting Started

First things first, I brushed my hair thoroughly. Gotta get rid of those knots and tangles, you know? A smooth base is key for a good bun.

The Ponytail

Next, I gathered all my hair into a high ponytail. The placement is up to you – high, low, middle – whatever you’re feeling. I personally like a high bun, it feels more secure for my thick hair.

The important part is making sure ponytail is at suitable position and height, so I adjust its position many times.

I used a thick, sturdy hair tie. Those flimsy little ones just snap under the pressure of my hair! I wrapped it around a few times until the ponytail felt really secure. Not too tight, but definitely not loose.

Creating the Bun

  • Here, I took my ponytail and start twisting it. Not too tightly, just a gentle twist to give it some shape.
  • Then, I wrapped the twisted hair around the base of the ponytail, forming the bun shape.
  • As I wrapped, I used my fingers to kind of tuck and shape the bun, making sure it wasn’t too bulky in one spot. I pay more attention to the shape.

Securing the Bun

This is where those trusty bobby pins come in. I used a bunch – seriously, don’t be shy with them! I slid them in around the edges of the bun, making sure to catch both the bun hair and the hair from my head. This anchors the bun and keeps it from unraveling.

I like to criss-cross the bobby pins for extra hold. It’s like building a little fortress for your bun! And I find it works great for my thick hair.

Finishing Touches

Finally, I sprayed it with a little bit of hairspray, just to tame any flyaways and give it some extra staying * now, I got * is stable for whole day!

And there you have it! A bun that can actually handle thick hair. It takes a little practice, but once you get the hang of it, it’s a total game-changer. Trust me, your arms will thank you for not having to hold up all that hair all day!
