Just finished setting up this free MBF calendar thing, what a ride. Wanted to find something basic for planning, saw “download mbf calendar free get started planning now mobile pc” pop up somewhere. Sounded straightforward enough. Famous last words.

The Search Begins
Opened my laptop browser, typed something like “free mbf calendar”. Oh boy. First page was just useless garbage. Tons of sites screaming “DOWNLOAD HERE!” with flashing buttons. Every single link felt like a trap.
Clicked one top ad result anyway. Big mistake. Page loaded with more pop-ups than actual info. Tried hitting download. Yeah, right. Got thrown to another page trying to push some weird subscription. Closed all tabs. Felt like I needed a shower.
Actually Finding the Thing
Refined my search, adding “official site” hoping for something legit. Found a forum post mentioning MBF calendar but calling it “MBF Calendar Pro”. Was this even the same thing? Whatever. Someone said “check the app store”. Okay, fair point.
Grabbed my phone this time. Went straight to the Play Store. Searched “MBF calendar”. Instantly confused.
- First hit: “MBF Calendar Pro” – $5.99? Thought it was free?
- Second hit: “MBF Planner Plus” – Also money.
- Third one down: plain old “MBF Calendar”. Finally, the free version.
The Download Circus
Hit “Install” on the phone one. Super quick, done in seconds. Easy peasy.

Back to the computer. Got cocky now that I knew the exact app name. Went to the main app store site for PC this time. Searched “MBF Calendar”. Similar nonsense.
- Top results were “Premium Downloaders” or something sketchy.
- Scrolled past like four fake download buttons.
- Saw a tiny link for the official developer’s software page buried deep. Clicked it.
Landing page looked basic, almost too simple. Found the actual download button, probably the fifth “Download” button I’d seen on the page. Prayed. Clicked it.
The installer file actually downloaded this time! Felt like winning the lottery. Ran the installer. Normal stuff: next, next, agree (glanced… mostly), next, finish. Took maybe a minute.
Getting Started (For Real This Time)
Opened the app on both devices. Looked clean enough.
On PC:

- Said “Sign up” or “Sign in”. Obvious choice.
- Typed in an email, made a password (not my bank one, obviously). Hit register.
- Check email, confirmed, done.
On Phone:
- Opened the app, tapped “Sign in”. Used the same email and password.
- Annoyingly, it didn’t instantly sync. Found a menu called “Sync Account” or something similar, tapped it.
- Magic happened! Suddenly, my empty calendar was there… still empty, but synced!
First Stab at Planning
This was the point, right? Added a dentist appointment on the PC for Tuesday. Looked at phone – it was already there! Okay, cool, syncing worked. Tried adding a birthday reminder directly on the phone. Yup, showed up on the PC seconds later.
Played with the interface a bit. Added a color category for work stuff. Found how to make daily todo lists. It’s… fine? Does the simple stuff. Seems easy enough to just chuck appointments and reminders in there and see them across my devices. Mostly works without yelling at me.
So yeah, took way longer to find and safely download the actual app than to actually start using it. Got there in the end, free planning tool unlocked… now to actually plan something beyond my dentist and cousin Dave’s birthday. We’ll see how long that lasts. Such an efficient start already!
