Okay, so I’ve been wanting to try out Givenchy Hot Couture Eau de Parfum for a while now. I finally got my hands on a bottle, and here’s how it went down.

First, I snagged a bottle online. It wasn’t super cheap, but I figured it was worth a shot. I was pretty stoked when it finally arrived.
The First Spritz
- I unboxed it, and the bottle itself is pretty fancy. Kind of heavy, and it just feels…expensive.
- I gave it a good spritz on my wrist. My first impression? Whoa, that’s strong!
- It’s definitely sweet, but not in a sugary, candy-like way. More like a ripe, almost jammy kind of sweet. I definitely got the raspberry right away.
Wearing it Out
I wore it out to dinner with some friends.
A couple of hours in, I started noticing a warmer, slightly spicy scent coming through. I guess that’s the magnolia and vetiver they talk about. And there’s this subtle, kind of smoky thing going on too, which is probably the amber.
My Honest Thoughts
- Longevity: This stuff lasts. I could still smell it faintly the next morning.
- Sillage: It’s noticeable, but not overpowering. It’s not going to knock anyone out, but people close to you will definitely smell it.
- Overall vibe: It feels very…womanly. Grown-up, but not old-ladyish. It’s kind of bold, but in a classy way.
Would I buy it again? Probably! It’s not an everyday scent for me, but it’s perfect for when I want to feel a little extra special. I am totally enjoying it.
