Okay, so the other day I got really curious about how they make those fancy Dior Sauvage bottles. You know, the ones with the cool magnetic cap and that sleek ombre look? I decided to dive in and figure it out, and let me tell you, it was more involved than I thought!

Getting Started
First, I watched a bunch of videos and read some articles online. Just trying to get a general idea of the whole process, you know? I wanted to see the real deal, not just some marketing stuff.
The Glass Making Part
From what I gathered, it all starts with the glass. They use this special kind of glass – I think it’s called soda-lime glass – and they melt it down at super high temperatures. It’s crazy hot! Then, they use these molds, probably made of metal, to shape the molten glass into the basic bottle form.
- Melting: Heating the glass to a crazy high temperature until it’s liquid.
- Molding: Pouring that liquid glass into a mold to get the bottle shape.
- Cooling: Letting the glass cool down slowly so it doesn’t crack.
Creating That Cool Gradient Effect
Now, for that signature Sauvage look – that dark-to-light fade – it gets tricky.
From I learned it is not a film that they stick onto the bottle, but the color is baked in or something, I mean it is made during the glass-making process. They probably spray some kind of special coating or coloring onto the glass while it’s still hot or being molded. It’s like magic, how they get it so smooth and even!

Adding the Details
Once the basic bottle is done, there’s still a lot more to do. They need to polish it up, make it all smooth and shiny. Then, they add the Dior logo and all the other text. I guess they use some high-tech printing or etching method for that. It’s super precise, not like a sticker or anything.
The Cap and Finishing Touches
And of course, there’s that awesome magnetic cap. I think they make that separately, probably out of plastic and metal. The magnet is hidden inside, so it snaps onto the bottle perfectly. It’s so satisfying! I’ve fiddled with my own bottle’s cap a million times, just because it feels so good.
Finally, they probably put the whole thing together – bottle, cap, the spray nozzle – and package it up. It’s a pretty detailed process, with lots of steps and quality checks, I’m sure.
It is not easy to made a bottle like that!
