Okay, so I’ve been hearing a lot about the Davines Energizing Superactive serum, the one for thinning hair and like, preventing hair loss. My hair’s been shedding a bit more than usual lately, and frankly, I’m getting a little freaked out. So, I decided to give this stuff a try. I bought it!
Getting Started
First things first, the packaging is pretty sleek. It comes in this little glass bottle with a dropper. Felt fancy. Reading the instructions, it said to apply it to my scalp after washing my hair, while it was still damp. Easy enough, right?
The Application Process
I washed my hair as usual, towel-dried it a bit, and then got down to business. The serum itself is pretty watery, not sticky or oily at all, which I appreciated. I used the dropper to apply it directly to my scalp, focusing on the areas where I feel like my hair is thinnest – mostly around my temples and part.

The first time, I think I used a bit too much. It felt a little…damp. But I learned my lesson. The next few times, I was more careful, and it was much better. I massaged it in gently with my fingertips, like they recommend. It has a slightly minty, herbal scent – not overpowering, but definitely noticeable. It felt kind of refreshing, actually.
The Waiting Game (and Early Observations)
So, I’ve been using this stuff for about, I don’t know, three, maybe four weeks now? It’s not an instant miracle cure, that’s for sure. But, and this is a big BUT, I think I’m seeing less hair in my shower drain. Like, noticeably less. It’s still early days, so I don’t want to get too excited, but it’s definitely encouraging.
My scalp also feels…healthier? I don’t know how else to describe it. It’s less itchy, and it just feels kind of…cleaner. Even my existing hair feels a little bit softer, maybe a touch more voluminous at the roots. I used a little bit more carefully.
Still Going!
I’m definitely going to keep using this serum. I’m curious to see what happens after a couple of months. I’ll probably update this post then, to let you all know if I see any actual new hair growth. Fingers crossed! I will keep using, and I will keep you updated!
