Cool Chains Like Noah Lyles: Find Affordable Options Here

Okay, so I saw this “Noah Lyles’ chain” thing trending and, honestly, I had no idea what it was about. I’m not a huge track and field guy, but the name sounded kinda cool, so I decided to give it a shot and see if I can recreate that chain for myself.

Finding the Materials

First things first, I needed to figure out what this chain even looked like. I did a quick search and saw a bunch of pictures of Noah Lyles wearing this chunky, gold-looking chain. It wasn’t super detailed, just big, bold links. Looked simple enough, I thought, but where am I going to find the materials?

  • Went to the local hardware store. I figured they’d have some chain, maybe not gold, but something I could work with.
  • Found some basic steel chain, the kind you might use for, like, a gate or something. It was pretty cheap, so I grabbed a few feet of it.

Putting It Together

Now, the “putting it together” part was surprisingly easy. Because the chain is just big links, I want to mimic the way he did.

  • Measured and Cut: I didn’t really measure, just kinda eyeballed it to see how long I wanted the chain to be. Then, I used some bolt cutters to snip the chain to the right length. Those things are tougher than they look!
  • Connecting the Ends: the chain had an open link at each end. I just used some pliers to bend one of the end links open, hooked it through the other end link, and then squeezed it shut. Done.

Making It Look… Better

Alright, so I had a chain, but it looked like, well, something from a hardware store. I need to get it some color or at least mimic the real chain of Noah.

  • The Gold Problem: Gold paint was the obvious solution. Found a can of spray paint in the garage, the kind that says “metallic gold” or whatever.
  • Spray Painting: Laid the chain out on some old newspaper outside, and went to town with the spray paint. Gave it a couple of coats, letting it dry in between. It started to look way better, a little more like what I saw in the pictures.

The Final Result

So, there it is! My very own “Noah Lyles chain.” It’s not perfect, obviously. It’s not real gold, and it’s probably a bit rough around the edges. But, you know, it was a fun little project. It took me, like, an afternoon, and it cost next to nothing. Now I can wear it and pretend I’m a world-class sprinter, even though I can barely run to the mailbox without getting winded.

If you have some time and want to spend your day with something, I think it’s a good way to start.
