Okay, let’s talk about my experience with the check out time at Fontainebleau. It was just last month, finishing up a quick trip.
Waking Up and Packing
So, the last morning hits. You know how it is, that slightly sad feeling that vacation’s over. I woke up, probably around 8 AM. The sun was blasting through that window. First thing, gotta get coffee brewing in the room. While that was going, I started packing. Just threw everything kinda messy into the suitcase. Clothes, chargers, that little souvenir I bought.
Figuring Out the Deadline
Then it hits me – what time do I actually need to be out? I honestly couldn’t remember from check-in. Sometimes it’s 11 AM, sometimes noon. Big difference when you want to grab one last decent breakfast downstairs instead of rushing.
I looked around the room first. Checked the little folder thingy they leave on the desk. Found some restaurant info, spa stuff, but no obvious checkout time listed right there. Weird. Then I remembered sometimes it’s on the TV menu. Turned that on, navigated through a few screens… yeah, buried in there under ‘Guest Services’ or something, it said 11:00 AM. Okay, noted. Still had a bit of time.
The Actual Checkout Process
Finished packing properly this time. Did a final sweep of the room – drawers, bathroom, under the bed. You always worry you’ll leave a sock or a charger behind, right?
Headed down towards the lobby around 10:40 AM. The elevators were kinda busy, lots of people doing the same thing. Got down to the main floor. Now, Fontainebleau’s lobby is… well, it’s something. Big, kinda grand. I wasn’t sure if I needed to go to the desk or if they had an express option.
- I saw a sign for Express Checkout. Basically, if the bill emailed to me overnight looked okay, I could just drop the keys.
- I had quickly scanned the email earlier. Looked fine, no crazy mini-bar charges I didn’t make.
- So, I just walked over to the designated box near the front desk. Dropped both my key cards in the slot.
And that was it. No lines, no waiting. Pretty painless, honestly. Just slid the keys in and walked out towards the valet to get my car. Out the door before the 11:00 AM deadline.
Final Thoughts
Overall, pretty straightforward. The 11:00 AM time is kinda standard these days, maybe a bit early for Vegas compared to some places that give you noon. But finding the info took a slight bit of digging on the TV menu, wish it was printed somewhere more obvious like the key card sleeve. The express drop-off box was super convenient though, definitely used that to save time. So yeah, that was my checkout dance at Fontainebleau. Done and dusted.
