Choosing a Tanning Sun Lotion:Top products for you

Okay, so I finally decided to try out this whole tanning thing. I’ve always been a bit pale, and I figured, why not? Let’s see if I can get a little bit of that sun-kissed glow everyone talks about. I grabbed some tanning sun lotion – nothing fancy, just a basic one from the drugstore.

Getting Started

First, I showered and exfoliated. I read online that this helps the lotion go on evenly and prevents those dreaded streaks. I used a loofah and some body scrub. My skin felt really smooth afterward, which was a good start.

Applying the Lotion

Next, I dried myself off completely. You don’t want any water messing with the lotion. Then, I started applying the tanning lotion. I used my hands, because some of instruction always said to apply it evenly, I started with my legs, rubbing it in circular motions. I was super careful around my knees and ankles, because I heard those are the tricky spots.

The Waiting Game

After I was all covered, I waited. The bottle said to wait at least 10 minutes before getting dressed, so I just stood there, feeling a bit sticky. I put on some loose clothes, an old t-shirt and some baggy shorts. The waiting game, you know, is boring!

The Result

I waited for about six hours before I checked it. And… I was a little orange. Okay, maybe more than a little. My hands were definitely darker than the rest of me. I probably used too much on my face. It wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t exactly the natural look I was going for.

The Next Day

The next day, the color had faded a bit, and it looked a little more natural. I still had some streaks, but they weren’t too noticeable. I took a shower, and some of the color washed off, which was good.

My Final Thoughts

Overall, it was a learning experience. I definitely need to practice my application technique. Maybe I’ll try a different brand next time, or maybe I’ll just stick to being pale. It’s not so bad, right? I think I’ll probably try it again, but with a lot more caution. And maybe a friend to help me with my back!
