Channel Alessandra Ambrosio Style! Here is Your Handbook.

Okay, here’s my post about trying out Alessandra Ambrosio’s style:

So, I got it into my head to try and dress like Alessandra Ambrosio for a week. You know, the supermodel? Yeah, that was the goal. I’ve always thought she had a cool, laid-back but still stylish vibe, and I wanted to see if I could pull it off. Or, you know, at least get close. I am not a model, so close was definitely the goal.

First, I did a little digging to figure out what her “style” even is. I found out that she was engaged to a businessman, Jamie Mazur, who started this jeans brand called RE/DONE. Cool, right? They have a daughter and a son together, but I guess they are not together anymore. Oh, and get this – her parents, who are Brazilian with Italian and Polish roots, own a gas station. She started modeling super young – like, age 11.

Digging into Her Style

Anyway, back to the style part. I noticed she wears a lot of denim, cute tops, and flowy dresses. She’s all about that boho-chic thing, which is pretty much my jam anyway, so I figured this wouldn’t be too hard. It is not like she is wearing ballgowns every day.

I started gathering some inspiration, looking at photos of her outfits. I tried to find pieces in my own closet that matched the general vibe. I didn’t want to buy a whole new wardrobe, you know?

My Attempt

By the end of the week, I realized that trying to dress like someone else is kind of fun, but also kind of exhausting. Also, I am not Alessandra. But I did manage to incorporate some new pieces and ideas into my own style, which was cool. And I learned that it’s okay to take inspiration from others, but it’s also important to stay true to yourself. You can’t just copy someone else’s style and expect it to magically transform you. But it was worth a shot, and now I feel like I’ve upped my own style game just a little bit. Or at least, I hope so.

Would I do it again? Maybe. It was a fun experiment, but I’m also happy to go back to just being me, but maybe with a little bit of extra flair now. A little bit of that Alessandra magic, you could say. And now, it is back to normal.
