Okay, so I’ve been following this whole thing with Celine Dion’s mansion down in Florida for ages, felt like forever. It kinda fascinated me, you know?

I first saw pictures of it, I think it was online somewhere, years back. The place was huge, right there on Jupiter Island. Looked pretty amazing, right on the water.
The Water Park Thing
But the craziest part, the thing everyone talked about, was that it had its own freaking water park. Like, slides and pools, the whole deal, right in the backyard. I remember thinking, who needs a personal water park? But hey, if you got the money, right?
- It wasn’t just a fancy pool, it was like a mini resort.
- Always wondered how much work it took just to keep that running.
Seemed like a fun place for kids, though. She has boys, so maybe that was the idea.
Selling That Beast
Then came the news she was selling it. And the price tag they first put on it? Man, it was sky-high. I heard numbers like $72 million thrown around. Seemed nuts, even for a place like that.
It sat on the market for a long, long time. You’d hear about it now and then, still for sale. The price started dropping, bit by bit. Guess even mega-mansions with water parks aren’t easy to sell.
Finally, the news came out that it actually sold. Took years, but someone bought it. Didn’t get the crazy $72 million, not even close. I think the final number was closer to $38.5 million, which is still a ton of cash, obviously, but way less than they originally wanted.
The buyer wasn’t some big famous name, apparently. The reports I saw said it was bought by a trust. And behind the trust? Just some American person who plans to use this massive place with its own water park as a vacation home. Can you imagine? Flying in just for holidays to your private water park.
Meanwhile, Celine herself had already moved on. She packed up and headed to Las Vegas, living somewhere else, probably way less maintenance without a water park to worry about. Heard she settled down in Henderson, near Vegas.
So yeah, that was the whole saga I followed. From seeing the first pictures of that water park to hearing it finally sold for a lot less. Quite the journey for a house.
