Okay, so I’ve been diving into this designer, Cecilie Bahnsen, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a journey. I’d heard the name floating around, and I saw some really cool-looking clothes that were tagged with her name, so I figured, why not check it out?

First off, I just started by looking her up online. You know, the usual – Googling, checking out her website, scrolling through social media. I found this one board on Pinterest, I think it was called “stylishschoolrun,” that had a bunch of pictures of her stuff. It was a good place to start, just to get a feel for her style and see what the hype was about. It gave me a good sense of what I was getting into.

Digging Deeper

After that, I wanted to learn more about her as a designer. Where did she come from? What’s her story? Turns out, she had a runway show in Copenhagen in January. I watched some clips of that online, and it was pretty impressive. The clothes were unlike anything I’d seen before – really unique and interesting.

  • Watching the Runway Show: I spent an afternoon watching clips of her latest show.
  • Noting Key Pieces: I made a list of my favorite looks from the show.
  • Looking for Reviews: I read some articles and blog posts about the show to see what other people thought.

Trying to Learn

Then I thought, “Hey, maybe I can learn something from this.” I mean, I’m not planning on becoming a fashion designer or anything, but it’s always fun to try new things, right? So I started looking for online tutorials and stuff about fashion design. There’s a ton of stuff out there, let me tell you. Courses on sketching, sewing, all that. I even found a few videos specifically about her style, which was cool.

I spent an evening messing around with some fabric I had lying around, trying to recreate one of her designs. It was a total mess, to be honest, but it was fun. It really gave me a new appreciation for how much work goes into making these clothes. She makes these super detailed, flowy dresses, and I definitely do not have the skills for that yet.

So yeah, that’s been my little adventure with Cecilie Bahnsen. It’s been a fun way to spend some time, learn a few things, and get inspired by some really cool designs. And hey, maybe I’ll even try to sew something wearable someday. Who knows?
