I remember seeing one years ago, window shopping. Stared at it for a good ten minutes. The texture, the look… it just screams expensive, doesn’t it? Back then, buying something like that wasn’t even a dream, more like a fantasy. Had different priorities, really basic stuff mostly.
Thinking Back
Funny thing is, I was working this awful job around that time. Long hours, barely making ends meet. My big “luxury” back then was getting takeout pizza on a Friday instead of cooking pasta again. Seeing that bag in the window, it felt like looking into another universe entirely.
You see people walking around with bags that cost more than my rent for three months. It messes with your head a bit. Makes you wonder what you’re doing, or maybe what they’re doing.

So, the actual “practice” for me wasn’t buying the bag. It was figuring out why I even thought I wanted it. Spent more time thinking about it than I probably would have spent using it.
Never did get that snakeskin bag. Got a decent leather one instead, sturdy, does the job. Doesn’t turn heads, but feels more… me. It carries my stuff, doesn’t try to be anything else. Sometimes, that’s enough. Practicality wins sometimes. Still appreciate the look of that Gucci though, from a distance. It’s like art, nice to look at, but maybe not something I need hanging on my arm every day.
