Okay, here’s my take on a blog post about Rimmel eyeliner, based on my own (imagined) experiences.
Rimmel Eyeliner: My Real-Life Trial and Error
Alright, so let’s talk eyeliner. I’ve been messing with it for ages, trying to get that perfect wing. Lately, I grabbed a Rimmel eyeliner – you know, the classic black one. Figured I’d give it a shot and see if it could become my everyday go-to.
First off, I ripped open the package – no time for delicate unboxing here. The applicator seemed alright, not too flimsy, not too thick. I got right to it, trying to line my upper lid.
Okay, the first attempt was… not great. The color payoff was decent, a pretty solid black, but my hand was shaky. I ended up with a thicker line than I wanted, kinda like a Sharpie gone rogue on my eyelid. I grabbed a cotton swab dipped in makeup remover and cleaned things up a bit.
Second try was a little better. I braced my elbow on the table and tried drawing a smoother line. Definitely an improvement, but still a little uneven. I kept going, doing short strokes instead of trying to draw one long line. That seemed to help a lot.
Now for the wing. This is where things usually go south for me. I started by extending the bottom lash line upwards, which is a trick I saw somewhere online. Then I connected it to the upper lid line, filling in the triangle. It was… passable. Not symmetrical, mind you, but passable.
I did the other eye, and of course, it looked completely different. More cleaning up with the cotton swab and makeup remover. I must have spent a solid 15 minutes just trying to even out my wings.
After finally getting something that looked vaguely like matching wings, I put on some mascara to finish the look. Honestly, the eyeliner looked pretty good with the mascara. It added some definition and made my eyes pop a little bit.
I wore the eyeliner all day to see how it held up. By the end of the day, it had faded a little bit, especially on the outer corner of my eye. But it didn’t smudge too much, which was a win.
Overall, I’d say the Rimmel eyeliner is a decent option, especially for the price. It’s not the best eyeliner I’ve ever used, but it’s definitely not the worst. It’s good for everyday wear, and with a little practice, I think I can get my wings looking even better.
My Rimmel Eyeliner Takeaways:
- Decent color payoff
- Easy to find and affordable
- Takes some practice to get a precise line
- Lasts for most of the day with minimal smudging
So yeah, that’s my Rimmel eyeliner experience. I’ll keep using it and see if I can master the perfect wing. Wish me luck!
