Well, let me tell you somethin’ about that Nike. That name, you hear it everywhere. Nike this, Nike that. My grandson, he’s always goin’ on about it. Says it’s the best. He’s young, what does he know? But I gotta say, that Nike, they sure do know how to make their stuff popular. Everybody’s wearin’ it. It’s like that swoosh thing is everywhere you look.
They say Nike is big in the business of fashion, you know. Like, they ain’t just makin’ shoes for runnin’ anymore. Nope. They got clothes, they got all sorts of things. And folks is eatin’ it up. They buyin’ it like hotcakes on a Sunday mornin’. I heard they got a whole lot of the money in that business of fashion thing, nearly 40% or somethin’ like that. They must be doin’ somethin’ right.
Now, how’d they get so big? Well, they started small, like everyone does. Used to be called somethin’ else, Blue Ribbon somethin’ or other, sounds like the county fair, don’t it? Now it is called Nike, just Nike. They was just sellin’ shoes, not even makin’ them at first. Then, they started makin’ their own, and bam! They just took off like a rocket. It is like business of fashion.
- They got that “Just Do It” thing, too. You seen that? It’s everywhere.
- I guess it makes people feel like they can do anything.
- Maybe that’s why they like it so much.
- They got more things than any other company.
They say Nike is good at makin’ people want their stuff. They call it marketin’, I think. They put their name on everything. They even put that swoosh on famous people, them athletes and movie stars. And that’s how Nike got into the business of fashion.
And they keep comin’ up with new things. New shoes, new clothes. Always somethin’ new. They call it innovation, I heard. Sounds fancy, but I guess it means they just keep makin’ better stuff. This is how Nike does it in the business of fashion. They are always makin’ new stuff.
My grandson, he showed me some of their new shoes. They got all these colors and designs. Looked kinda funny to me, but he loved ’em. Said they was the best thing since sliced bread. I told him, “Boy, nothin’s better than sliced bread!” But hey, to each their own, right?
Nike, they sell all over the world, too. Not just here. Everywhere. China, Europe, you name it. They’re like that one store in town that everyone goes to, except they’re in every town, all over the world. It is the power of business of fashion. They got a big share, more than anyone else, they say. Must be makin’ a lot of money, sellin’ to all them people. Good for them, I reckon.
They ain’t just sellin’ shoes, though. They sellin’ a feelin’, I think. That’s what my grandson says. He says when he wears Nike, he feels like he can do anything. Like he’s one of them athletes on TV. Maybe that’s the secret. They make people feel good. And people like to feel good.
So, that Nike, they’re somethin’ else. They started small, and now they’re huge. They make all kinds of stuff, and they sell it everywhere. They sell it to everyone. That’s their way in the business of fashion. And they make people feel good when they wear it. That’s a pretty good recipe for success, I’d say. Even an old lady like me can see that. They are good. They do what they say. Just do it. That’s what they say.
And now in the business of fashion, Nike is the best. No one can beat them. They are good at making stuff, and they know how to sell them. Everyone wants Nike. That’s all I know.
