Building a Shelby Mustang Eleanor? Get Tips, Kits & Advice!

Getting Started: Down the Rabbit Hole

First, I spent hours just looking at pictures. Seriously, just soaking it all in. The lines, the stance, that iconic Pepper Grey paint… I needed to know everything.

Then I started digging into forums and websites. I wanted to find out what made Eleanor, well, Eleanor. It’s not just any Shelby, you know?

The Details: What Makes Eleanor, Eleanor?

This is where things got interesting. I learned that the movie car was actually based on a 1967 Ford Mustang fastback, but heavily modified. It wasn’t a real Shelby GT500, though it’s often mistaken for one.

My “Build” (in my head, for now!)

For now, my “build” is purely theoretical. But I created a document where I put all my research together, including the original specs of the model.

I also started looking at parts. Let’s just say it wouldn’t be a cheap project! But hey, a guy can dream, right?

The Wrap-Up: Still Obsessed

After all this research, I’m even more obsessed with the Shelby Mustang Eleanor. It’s a true movie icon, and I totally get why it has such a huge following.

My deep dive confirmed it: Eleanor is more than just a car; she’s a legend.
