Alright, so I’ve been wanting to mess around with the “Black White Concords” colorway for a while now. It’s just such a classic, clean look, you know? I finally decided to give it a shot, and here’s how it went down.
Getting Started
First, I gathered my materials. I’m working with some plain white sneakers, so that was my base. Then, I picked up some black fabric paint and a few different sized brushes. I also grabbed some painter’s tape to help keep things neat.
The Process
- I started by thoroughly cleaning the shoes. Any dirt or dust will mess with the paint, so this is super important.
- Next, I taped off the areas I wanted to keep white. This took a while because I wanted to get the lines really crisp and clean, especially around the midsole. Patience is key!
- Once everything was taped, I started applying the black paint. I went with thin, even coats. It’s better to do multiple thin coats than one thick one, to prevent cracking and clumping.
- I let each coat dry completely before applying the next. I think I ended up doing three coats to get the black really solid and opaque.
- I kept going until the result is good enough for me.
The Final Touches
After the paint was totally dry, I carefully peeled off the tape. There were a couple of tiny spots where the paint bled a little, so I touched those up with a tiny brush and some white paint.
Finally, Done. Now I have my own custom Black White Concords sneakers!
