Okay, so, I saw this thing online about Kim Kardashian’s updo hairstyles and thought, “Why not give it a shot?” I mean, her hair always looks so fancy, right?
Trying Out Kim K’s Updo
First off, I watched a bunch of videos. It seemed easy enough in the tutorials, like, they just popped their hair up in a few minutes. Yeah, right. I grabbed all my hair stuff – you know, bobby pins, hair ties, the whole shebang. I even got some of that fancy hairspray that promises to hold your hair like cement.
I started by trying to section my hair. Easier said than done, my friends. My arms were already getting tired, and I hadn’t even started on the actual updo part. I was like, “Is this how she does it every day?” I kept going, though. I twisted and pinned, and honestly, it looked like a bird’s nest at first. Not cute.
- Sectioning the hair – total arm workout.
- Twisting and pinning – way harder than it looks.
- Hairspray is my new best friend. Or worst enemy. Not sure yet.
After what felt like an hour, I finally got something that resembled an updo. It wasn’t exactly Kim K level, but hey, it was up, and it stayed up. I even took a few selfies, feeling all proud of myself. But then, I tried to take it down. Oh boy.
Let me tell you, getting all those pins out was another adventure. I think I lost a few strands of hair in the process. But hey, no pain, no gain, right? My hair was a bit of a mess afterward, but at least I can say I tried. Would I do it again? Maybe. If I have like, three hours to spare and a professional stylist on speed dial.
So, that’s my little experiment with Kim Kardashian’s updo. It was fun, frustrating, and definitely a learning experience. If you decide to try it, good luck! You’ll need it. And maybe some ice for your arms afterward.
