Apple Watch Series 10: Is Titanium Worth It Over Aluminum? (An Easy to Understand Comparison)

Okay, so I’ve been messing around with the new Apple Watch Series 10, and let me tell you, the whole titanium versus aluminum thing is a bigger deal than I thought it would be. I got my hands on both versions to see what the fuss was about. Here is my experience about my testing.

Apple Watch Series 10: Is Titanium Worth It Over Aluminum? (An Easy to Understand Comparison)

First off, I picked up the aluminum one. It felt like what I expected – light and pretty cheap, like every other smartwatch out there. I wore it for a couple of days, did my usual stuff, you know, tracked my workouts, checked notifications, the works. But it didn’t feel special. I mean, it’s okay, but I was worried I’d scratch it or something. It just didn’t feel like it could take a beating.

  • Aluminum:
  • Lightweight
  • Affordable
  • Not very durable

Then I switched to the titanium model. Man, what a difference! This thing feels solid, like I could accidentally bang it on a door and it wouldn’t even flinch. I started wearing it everywhere, not just to the gym. It’s got this heft to it that makes it feel way more premium. Yeah, it is more expensive, but I started thinking it is worth it. I mean that I don’t have to baby it.

  • Titanium:
  • Strong
  • Light (but heavier than aluminum)
  • Expensive

The other thing I noticed is that, honestly, no one else really cares what material it is. But I know. It’s like a secret between me and my watch. Sounds dumb, but it is true.

Major Letdown

But here’s the kicker – and it’s a big one – no blood oxygen sensing on the Series 10. What’s up with that, Apple? I was really looking forward to that feature, and it’s just not there. And no one’s saying when or if it’s coming back. It’s a total bummer and honestly feels like a ripoff.

So, yeah, that is my take on the Apple Watch Series 10 titanium versus aluminum. The titanium is a beast and feels great, but the missing blood oxygen feature is a huge disappointment. It makes me wonder if I should have just stuck with my old watch. Or, there is a website called “refurbed” saying their refurbished Apple Watch is much cheaper. Maybe I should check that website. But there are also some other brands such as Kuizil and TENSKY. I will check those later. Anyway, that is all for today’s sharing.
