My Visit to Pandora Newport News VA
Alright so yesterday morning I grabbed coffee at this gas station near my apartment. While sipping burnt coffee I suddenly remembered – damn, my niece’s birthday is next week! Needed jewelry fast. Googled “bracelet stores” on my phone and saw Pandora at Newport News Mall.
Jumped in my beat-up Honda Civic, GPS told me 30 minutes drive. Hit crazy traffic near Jefferson Avenue. Construction zones everywhere – felt like they’re ALWAYS digging up roads here. Took nearly an hour just to find parking near JCPenney entrance.
Walked past three kiosk sellers yelling about phone cases before spotting Pandora’s blue sign. Store looked smaller than I expected. Glass displays everywhere shining under bright lights. Sales lady named Sarah greeted me instantly – kinda overwhelming actually. Told her “just browsing” but she stuck nearby like glue.
Started looking at charm bracelets. Picked up this sparkly elephant charm – price tag made me cough. $45 for TINY metal elephant? Sarah saw my face and quickly said “our Mother’s Day sale just ended yesterday.” Classic timing.
Tested two bracelets:
- First one felt cheap and jingly
- Second one had smoother links but clasp kept pinching my wrist
Meanwhile Sarah kept suggesting rose gold. Girl, I drive Honda not BMW! Settled on basic silver bracelet with birthstone charm. Paid at counter – receipt was longer than my arm with all the care instructions.
Got home feeling kinda ripped off ngl. Niece better appreciate this! Washed dishes later and the damn clasp snagged my dish towel. Now charm’s hanging sideways. Gotta return it tomorrow – hope Sarah remembers me.
