Okay, so I wanted to check out the Neiman Marcus at Oakbrook Center. I’d heard good things, and, well, I needed a little retail therapy. Plus, I was on the hunt for a specific pair of shoes I’d seen online, so I figured, why not?
First, I jumped on their website to get the store hours. Gotta make sure I have enough time to browse, you know? And I wanted to see if they had a store directory – big malls can be confusing!
Finding My Way There
Then, I popped the address into my GPS. Easy peasy. Parking at Oakbrook can sometimes be a nightmare, but I got lucky and found a spot pretty quickly. Score!
Once inside, I was immediately struck by how… fancy everything was. I mean, it’s Neiman Marcus, so I expected it, but still! The displays were gorgeous, everything was sparkling clean, and the salespeople were super attentive.
The Shoe Hunt
- I headed straight for the shoe department.
- I wandered around for a bit, admiring all the pretty (and pricey!) shoes.
- I couldn’t find the ones I was looking for, so I flagged down a sales associate.
The sales associate was super helpful. I showed her a picture of the shoes on my phone, and she knew exactly what I was talking about. Turns out, they were out of my size in the store, I was bummed about the shoes!.
Exploring the Rest
Even though the shoe mission was a bust, I decided to explore the rest of the store. I checked out the handbags (dreaming a little!), browsed the beauty section, and even sniffed a few fancy perfumes.
I ended not buyng anything, but, the whole experience was great, the store, place, everything looks great, I will be back for sure, maybe next time I will have more luck with those shoes!
