Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another food adventure. Today, I’m talking about my recent experience trying to figure out what to eat at a place called “Herrera’s Mexican Restaurant.” I’d heard some buzz about it, so I thought, why not give it a shot?
First off, I tried to find their menu online. It wasn’t as straightforward as I hoped. I found mentions of it on some review sites and saw some folks talking about dishes they liked, but a full, official menu? That was a bit trickier to nail down. I saw a phone number (936) 273-5466 floating around, and some address in The Woodlands, TX, but that didn’t help much with the menu hunt.
I did manage to piece together some popular items from what people were saying online. Chunky guacamole seemed to be a hit, and chicken fajitas were also mentioned quite a bit. It sounds like they have the usual Tex-Mex staples like tacos and burritos. But without a proper menu, it felt like I was going in a bit blind.
I also stumbled upon another Herrera’s location when searching, it seems like it was in Dallas, TX, with the address 2853 West Illinois Avenue. The tags of “Restaurant” made me even more curious about what kind of food they offered.
So, I decided to just go for it and visit the place. I figured the best way to know the menu is to see it in person, right? Plus, it’s always good to get a feel for the vibe of a restaurant.
When I got there, they handed me the menu. Yep, they’ve got all the classics I expected and then some. I ended up ordering a few things to share with my friends, which seemed to be reasonably priced and delicious, we were all pretty stuffed afterward.

Overall, it was a good experience. The food was tasty, the portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. Would I go back? Yeah, probably. It’s a decent spot for some casual Mexican food. But I do wish they had their menu more readily available online. It would make things a lot easier for folks like me who like to plan ahead.
