The Best Ross Blankets: Soft, Warm, and Affordable

Okay, so yesterday I started looking into making my own Ross blankets. You know, those super cozy, warm blankets that just make you want to snuggle up on the couch all day? I’ve always loved them, but they can be pretty pricey. So, I thought, why not try to make my own?

The Best Ross Blankets: Soft, Warm, and Affordable

First, I did some digging online to see what kind of materials people usually use for these blankets. I found out that a lot of folks recommend wool, cotton fleece, or cashmere because they’re super warm. Apparently, the fluffier the blanket, the warmer it is because the little spaces between the fibers trap warm air. Who knew?

Then I started looking at different types of wool. Merino wool seems to be a popular choice since it’s good at trapping heat. Some people also mentioned using 100% organic cotton, which is supposed to be really soft and durable. That sounded pretty nice, especially since I want this blanket to last for a while. I hate it when blankets start to fall apart after a few washes.

After that, I dove into the world of cooling blankets. Yeah, I know, it’s kind of the opposite of what I was going for, but I figured it might be good to know about these too. I learned that they use special materials and stuff to keep you cool at night. It’s pretty interesting, but I’m definitely more interested in staying warm right now.

Next, I spent some time looking at different brands that sell these kinds of blankets, like Stoov and L.*. It’s always good to see what the pros are doing, right? The L.* Wicked Cozy Blanket, in particular, caught my eye. People say it’s super soft and lasts for years. They also said it’s well-made, and it seems not cheap. But I’m not sure if I want to buy one of those, or if I should stick to making my own.

Finally, I compared the pros and cons of buying a blanket versus making one. Buying one is definitely easier, but making my own would be so much more satisfying, and probably cheaper. Plus, I could customize it exactly how I want. I could pick the perfect fabric, the perfect color, and the perfect size.

So, after all that research, I think I’m going to try making my own Ross blanket! I’m leaning towards using Merino wool or maybe a blend of wool and cotton. I still need to figure out where to buy the materials, but I’m excited to get started. I’ll keep you guys updated on my progress!

  • Started looking into making my own Ross blankets.
  • Researched materials like wool, cotton fleece, and cashmere.
  • Learned about the benefits of Merino wool and 100% organic cotton.
  • Explored cooling blankets and their technologies.
  • Checked out brands like Stoov and L.*.
  • Compared buying versus making a blanket.
  • Decided to make my own blanket, probably using Merino wool or a wool-cotton blend.

It’s been a fun little project so far, and I can’t wait to see how it turns out. Wish me luck!
