This old lady, I ain’t no spring chicken, and my feet, they ain’t what they used to be. But I still like to look spiffy, you know? So, I been thinkin’ about them platform boots. They look real fancy, adding some height and all. I saw some young girls wearing platform boots, they look so good. But I’m wonderin’, are platform boots comfortable? Can these old dogs handle ’em?
I remember back in the day, shoes weren’t made for comfort, no sir. They were made to look good, and that was that. You’d wear ’em, your feet would ache, but you’d look good doin’ it. These days, they got all sorts of fancy things in shoes. Cushions and what not. Maybe these platform boots ain’t so bad.
I heard some folks sayin’ that platform boots, they’re a pain in the foot. They say you’ll be wobblin’ around like a newborn calf, and your feet will be screamin’ for mercy by the end of the day. They said it will cause discomfort. But I also heard other folks sayin’ the opposite, those platform boots are comfortable. They said it has cushioned insoles and supportive arches in modern platform boots. That sounds good to my old ears.
My neighbor, she’s got a pair of platform sneakers. She says they’re the best thing since sliced bread. She wears ’em everywhere, even to the grocery store. She says they give her a little boost without killin’ her feet. But sneakers are not boots. I want to buy a pair of platform boots.
I reckon the key is findin’ the right pair. You can’t just go grabbin’ any old platform boots off the shelf. You gotta make sure they fit right, and they got that cushiony stuff inside. Maybe some of them even have adjustable laces, so you can make ’em snug as a bug in a rug. I’d like a newer pair of boots, the old boots I have are a bit scruffy. If they are as comfortable as they look, I will wear them every day!
And you know what they say, “If the shoe fits, wear it!” Well, I’m thinkin’ maybe these platform boots, they just might fit the bill. They might give this old lady a little pep in her step. Maybe they can make me feel young again.
I think those platform boots got that platform thing on the bottom, makin’ you taller. But it ain’t like them skinny heels that’ll snap like a twig if you step on a crack. These platforms, they look sturdy. Like they could handle a little rough housin’.

I ain’t gettin’ any younger, but that don’t mean I gotta give up on lookin’ good. And if a pair of platform boots can make me feel a little taller, a little more confident, well, then I say, why not?
Maybe I’ll go down to the shoe store and try a pair on. See how they feel. If they’re comfortable, maybe I’ll buy ’em. If not, well, no harm no foul. But I’m bettin’ these platform boots, they just might surprise me. They might be the best thing I ever did for my old feet.
So, are platform boots comfortable? I think so, at least now they made platform boots comfortable. With all the cushions and the supportive things, my old feet maybe can wear those boots just fine! I need to find a good pair and try it on.
