First link says Switzerland is UTC+1. Okay, got it. But then another site says it’s UTC+2! Now I’m confused. Different websites telling me different things. Felt like spinning wheels.
Scratched my head. Remembered something about clocks changing summer and winter? Daylight saving thing? Right! That must be it. Went back to the search page, squinting at the dates on those results. One was really old. Saw something from 2025 that confirmed Switzerland does the daylight saving dance. Bingo! Summer time right now, so they’re an extra hour ahead. UTC+2.
Checked the time here. My clock said 7:30 AM, Wednesday, August 20th. Tossed the UTC+2 info into my brain calculator. Paris time works the same, right? Figured they’re 6 hours ahead of US East Coast summer time. Did the math slow, counting it out. Shanghai to Geneva. Plus 6 hours? Minus? Wait, here’s 7:30 AM Shanghai time… Geneva should be way earlier.
Double-checked against a world clock someone mentioned online. Found a widget. Needed the local name – Geneva, Switzerland. Typed it carefully. Held my breath. Bingo!
