Okay so today I tried copying Rhea Ripley’s makeup look from WWE. Saw it online and thought, “Hey, that looks cool and maybe not super hard?” Boy, was I wrong at first. Grabbed my box of stuff and just dove in, figuring I’d wing it.
Getting Started Was… Rough
First mistake? Didn’t prep my skin properly. Just wiped my face with water like an idiot. Started with foundation. Mine is way lighter than hers. Looked like I smeared pancake batter trying to match her vibe. Way too pale. Dug around and found this old, darker shade from summer that was kinda crusty. Mixed them together – still not perfect, but closer. Looked patchy though. Lesson learned: find your shade beforehand.
Eyebrows & Eyes: The Drama Zone
Her eyebrows are dark and thick, right? Mine are kinda sparse. Pulled out my blackest eyebrow pencil. Went way too heavy trying to fill them in. Looked like two angry caterpillars chilling on my forehead. Had to grab a spoolie and brush like crazy to soften them up. Still felt fake.
Now the eyes. This was the scary part. She rocks that heavy black liner all around. Tried my usual liquid liner first. Epic fail. Shaky hand + trying to line the waterline = tears streaming down my face (not the cool kind) and black gunk everywhere. Looked like a raccoon caught in the rain. Switched to a black kohl pencil. Pushed it hard onto my lash line, top and bottom, then blended it out with a tiny brush to make it smokier. Did NOT wing it out. Just kept it close to the lash line.
Then comes the eyeshadow. Used three cheap colors:
- A light brown kinda shade all over the lid – base stuff.
- A way darker brown in the crease – tried to make it look deep, blended it like mad.
- Used a tiny bit of black shadow on the outer corner and crease again – patted it on with my finger ’cause the brush was too big. Focused on the outer corner mostly.
Blended like crazy with a fluffy brush. Looked muddy for a minute there.

Cheeks & Lips… Almost Forgot!
Her face looks sculpted, so contour was next. Found this cool-toned brown powder. Sucked in my cheeks like a fish and swiped it underneath. Might have gone a bit dark? Added a touch of this dusty rose blush just barely on the apples.
Lips. Couldn’t see clearly from pics what she wore. Opted for a matte nude brown lipstick from my collection. Dabbed it on lightly. Didn’t want anything bright stealing focus from the eyes.
Finishing Touches & Reality Check
Mascara. Loads of it. Top and bottom lashes. Two coats. Clumpy? Maybe. But needed that drama. Did not bother with fake lashes. Way beyond my patience level today.
Set everything with powder, trying not to ruin the blend. Finally stood back and looked in the mirror. It was… way heavier than my usual look. Felt kinda intense. Definitely had the vibe? The dark eyes, strong brows, and contour gave that rough, tough feel she has. My cat hissed at me, so maybe I nailed it? It wasn’t a quick “5-minute glam” like some tutorials say, and it took messy tries, but actually doing it step-by-step, messing up, fixing it… that’s how you figure it out.
Would I wear it grocery shopping? Probably not. But for a photoshoot or just feeling tough? Yeah. It takes practice and getting messy to get anywhere near her look. Definitely easier than some crazy drag looks though!
