He’d been working as Dior’s assistant, and suddenly he was thrust into the top job at one of the world’s most famous fashion houses.
It’s pretty incredible when you think about it. He presented his first collection for Dior, the “Trapeze” line, and it was a massive success. It really saved the house at a critical time. It’s one of those stories that makes you think, you know? How sometimes massive responsibility lands on young shoulders and they just… rise to the occasion. It’s more than just a name; it’s a whole chapter of fashion history. And now, at least, if someone asks me at a pub quiz, I’ll know the answer!
