And another thing, it had this subtle shimmer. Not glittery, no way. Just a soft sheen when the light caught it. It made it look quite elegant, actually. Expensive, even if it wasn’t always.

So, putting all these clues together:

- Has a fine, slightly textured feel, maybe like a delicate net if you could see it super close.
- Drapes beautifully, flows rather than hangs stiffly.
- Often has a soft, gentle shimmer.
That’s when it clicked. This had to be chiffon. I’d seen the word on labels before, but never really stopped to connect it to how the fabric actually looked and felt. My friend was like, “Oh yeah, that makes sense!”
This stuff is pretty, no doubt about it. It gives off that fancy vibe, like for evening gowns or those floaty blouses. But then I also realized how delicate it must be. I mean, something that light and sheer? You wouldn’t want to wear it for everyday chores or if you’re gonna be snagging it on stuff. It felt like it would pull or tear pretty easily if you weren’t careful.
