- Only if we were really stumped would we allow a quick search on my old phone, with its tiny screen, which made it even harder!
Now, the reason this whole eye color quest sticks in my mind, and why I actually had the time for this, isn’t just because I like winning arguments with my nephew. See, I was supposed to be on my annual camping trip that weekend. My big escape. But my trusty old truck decided it had other plans. The alternator, I think, just packed it in. Left me stranded on the side of a county road, miles from anywhere. So, instead of fresh air and fishing, I got my sister’s couch and a deep dive into Channing Tatum’s eyeballs. Talk about a change of plans.
Honestly, focusing on something so trivial, like whether his eyes were hazel or green, was a welcome distraction from being so utterly cheesed off about my truck and my ruined trip.
