How to Style Pants with Knee High Boots for women?

Okay, so I’ve been experimenting with the whole “pants with knee high boots” look for a while now, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. Not always smooth, but definitely worth sharing.

How to Style Pants with Knee High Boots for women?

First off, I started by raiding my closet. I mean, duh, right? I pulled out all my knee-high boots – I’ve got a couple of pairs, one more of a riding style and another that’s chunkier and more casual. Then came the pants. Skinny jeans were the obvious choice, and they worked fine, slipped right into the boots no problem. But I wanted to try something different, something a little more…me.

So, I grabbed a pair of slim-fit trousers. These were a bit trickier. The material was slightly thicker than my jeans, so getting them tucked into the boots required some strategic maneuvering. I found that smoothing them down as I pulled the boots on was key. No bunching allowed! And yeah, it took a couple of tries to get it looking just right.

Then I thought, why not try bootcut? I know, I know, some people say it’s a fashion no-no, but I’m all about breaking the rules (within reason, of course). Turns out, it can work! The trick is to find bootcut pants that aren’t too flared. You want a subtle bootcut, just enough to cover the top of the boot. It gives a more relaxed, almost effortless vibe.

Next up was color matching. I started with black boots, which are super versatile. Black pants? Easy peasy. But I also wanted to see if I could pull off brown boots. I tried them with a pair of olive green trousers, and surprisingly, it looked pretty good! The key was to make sure the tones complemented each other. No clashing allowed!

The biggest lesson I learned? Don’t be afraid to experiment. Not every combination is going to work, and that’s okay. The important thing is to have fun with it and find what makes you feel confident and stylish. I’m still playing around with different textures and colors, and I’m sure I’ll be tweaking my approach as the seasons change.

My go-to formula right now:

  • Skinny jeans or slim-fit trousers for a sleek, tucked-in look.
  • Slightly bootcut pants for a more relaxed vibe.
  • Neutral colors for easy matching.

But seriously, the best advice I can give is to just try it! You might surprise yourself with what you come up with.
