So, I kept seeing this KAWS stuff popping up everywhere, you know? Those figures with the ‘XX’ eyes. Kinda cool, kinda weird. Caught my eye.

Then, scrolling online one day, I saw someone had this watch face, an Apple Watch I think, with the KAWS design right on it. Looked pretty slick. Different. Not just your standard numbers or Mickey Mouse.
Getting the Idea
I have an Apple Watch myself, mostly just use it for checking the time and notifications, nothing fancy. But seeing that KAWS face got me thinking. My watch face was kinda boring. Why not put something fun on it?
Of course, I knew about the real fancy watches. Heard about Audemars Piguet doing a collab with KAWS. Saw the pictures. Looked wild, like a concept piece. But the price tag on those things… let’s just say it’s way, way out of my league. Like, you could buy a house money. Not for regular folks like me.
The Process
So, the super expensive real deal was a no-go. But the idea stuck. I figured, maybe I could get something similar looking for my own watch. Started poking around online, searching for ‘KAWS watch face apple watch’.
- Found a bunch of images first. Lots of people seemed to have done it.
- Then realized it wasn’t like, an official thing in the Apple Watch face gallery. You had to use third-party apps or tools.
- Downloaded an app that lets you put custom photos or designs on your watch face. Seemed like the easiest way.
- Found a KAWS image I liked – one of the ‘Companion’ figures just chilling.
- Played around with the app, positioning the image, choosing the time style to go over it. Took a bit of fiddling to get it looking decent, not too cluttered.
Using It Day-to-Day
Got it set up finally. Looked pretty cool actually. The KAWS figure just sitting there on my wrist. Definitely different from the default faces.

It’s funny, it’s just a picture on a screen, right? It’s not some high-end mechanical masterpiece like that AP Royal Oak Concept thing. But it still feels kinda neat having it there. A little bit of art, something unique that I picked out and put there myself.
Does it make the watch work better? Nah. Does it tell time differently? Nope. It’s purely cosmetic. But sometimes that’s okay. Just makes glancing at my wrist a little more interesting throughout the day.
So yeah, that was my little project. Didn’t cost me anything except a bit of time. A simple way to get a taste of that KAWS style without needing a bank loan. Just messing around with my gadgets and making them feel a bit more ‘me’.
